The Governor’s Office of Planning and Research and the Natural Resources Agency will conduct a public workshop to receive input on proposed changes to the CEQA Guidelines on October 6, 2015, beginning at 9:00a.m., in the Cal/EPA Headquarters Building, Sierra Hearing Room, 2nd Floor, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Staff will provide a brief background on the CEQA Guidelines as well as an overview of the changes proposed in the preliminary discussion draft, and will provide an opportunity for public input. The workshop will be webcast for those unable to attend in person. The broadcast can be accessed on the day of the workshop at http://www.calepa.ca.gov/broadcast/. Information on submitting questions or comments will be provided during the webcast for remote participants.
The Social Determinants of Health for Planners Paper Published Today by the California Planning Roundtable 09-30-2015
RIVERSIDE, CA) – September 30, 2015…The California Planning Roundtable (CPR)
announced today the publication of its paper entitled “The Social Determinants of Health
for Planners: Live, Work, Play, Learn!.” The paper was prepared under the leadership of
the Healthy Communities Work Group in collaboration with a selected group of sixteen
non-CPR professionals who are experts in the fields of planning and public health. The
publication is intended to advance deeper understanding of public health approaches and
