Federal Grant Review

How to Determine if Your Grant Application is Subject to Review
Yes, My Grant is Subject to Review
No, My Grant is Not Subject to Review

The State Clearinghouse (SCH) serves as the state's Single Point of Contact for the review of federal grant applications pursuant to Presidential Executive Order No. 12372. Notification of certain federal grant applications must be provided to the Clearinghouse, which in turn distributes this information to state and local agencies for review and comment. The State Clearinghouse does not administer grant programs or offer any grant funding. Some funding opportunities are searchable at the Federal grants.gov site or by searching the internet.

How to Determine if Your Grant Application is Subject to Review

If you are applying for a federal grant, loan, or other form of financial assistance, you may be required to submit information about your federal application to the SCH. To determine if your grant is subject to review, look up the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) number on the listing of federal programs requiring state review. To inquire about eligibility, application procedures, and criteria used to approve grants, applicants should contact the appropriate federal funding agency. The State Clearinghouse is unable to provide this information.

Yes, My Grant is Subject to Review

If your grant program appears on this list of programs requiring state review, you must send one copy of your application cover form (Standard Form 424) to the SCH. Fax copies of the completed Form 424 are acceptable. Please do not send your full application package or any other supplemental information.
