Joint Land Use Studies
A Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) is a collaborative planning effort between active military installations, surrounding counties and cities, and other affected agencies.
The California JLUS Program was funded by a grant from the Department of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment (OEA). Given the large areas covered by the program and the number of jurisdictions and agencies involved, the California JLUS Program was managed by OPR.
The California JLUS Program covered two geographic areas: the area around Beale AFB and the area covered by the R-2508 Special Use Airspace Complex.
