California Advisory Handbook for Community and Military Compatibility Planning (Draft) open for Public Comment 08-12-2016
The Governorís Office of Planning and Research has been engaged in an extensive update to the California Advisory Handbook for Community and Military Compatibility Planning, informed by extensive outreach, engagement, and collaboration with state agencies, the Department of Defense, and community stakeholders.
A public draft of the update to the California Advisory Handbook for Community and Military Compatibility Planning is available here.
This comprehensive update seeks to create a suite of tools to guide for city and county planners, property owners, developers, and military personnel on how best to engage and collaborate on proactive planning efforts, to encourage land use compatibility, and to reduce encroachment on military installations and operating areas. The Advisory Handbook, presented here, is presented on a user-friendly, interactive PDF format which allows users to use the online format or download as a PDF.
We welcome any comments, questions, or other feedback you may have on this draft. The public comment period will last 30 days, and end at 5PM on September 16th. Please send any comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
