RIVERSIDE, CA) – September 30, 2015…The California Planning Roundtable (CPR)
announced today the publication of its paper entitled “The Social Determinants of Health
for Planners: Live, Work, Play, Learn!.” The paper was prepared under the leadership of
the Healthy Communities Work Group in collaboration with a selected group of sixteen
non-CPR professionals who are experts in the fields of planning and public health. The
publication is intended to advance deeper understanding of public health approaches and

Inaugural Cohort of Governor Brown’s Initiative AmeriCorps Program Graduates in Sacramento-35 CivicSpark Climate Fellows Celebrate a Year of Impact Throughout California 09-15-2015
The inaugural cohort of Governor Jerry Brown’s Initiative AmeriCorps program, CivicSpark, graduated yesterday. 35 CivicSpark fellows provided over 60,000 hours of service to California’s communities, helping 88 local governments build capacity to respond to climate change.
