Announcement OPR Launches Regional Resilience Grant Program Listening Session Series at ICARP Technical Advisory Council Meeting

Published: 7/12/2022

Through the historic 2021 Climate Resilience Budget, OPR received $250M in funding over three funding rounds for the Integrated Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program (ICARP) to help fill local, regional, and tribal needs, by providing communities the funding needed to identify climate resilience priorities, build capacity, and implement projects in response to the greatest climate risks in a region.

ICARP will launch stakeholder engagement efforts for the new Regional Resilience Grant Program (RRGP) during a listening session on Monday, July 18, 2022 from approximately 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. to inform stakeholders and prospective applicants, and gather feedback on regional climate resilience planning and project implementation needs in California.

ICARP will convene the first listening session during the afternoon State Resilience Funding Opportunities Workshop from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., hosted by the public ICARP Technical Advisory Council (TAC) during the quarterly Council meeting on Monday, July 18, 2022. All participants are also welcome to join any portion or all of the Council meeting, scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. View the agenda and meeting materials for the full Council meeting on the TAC meeting page.

ICARP will convene additional listening sessions from the last week of July through mid-August, including general, regional, and Tribal listening sessions.
